Dr Katie McManus grew up on the Central Coast, and studied Chiropractic at Macquarie University, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Chiropractic and Master of Chiropractic Degree.
Katie is a passionate musician, plays the viola, the guitar and sings. She also loves to surf and has travelled to surf at some amazing places around the world, as well as working with athletes on the World Surf League Qualifying Series.
During the early years in practice, Katie became intensely interested in the nervous system and the control it had over the rest of the body, and this led her to further studies in the field of functional neurology, graduating as a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board in 2012. Katie loves working with people of all ages, and is proud to serve the families of the Central Coast.
Since 2013, Katie has been studying and practicing Applied Kinesiology and Total Body Modification, as well as a special interest in Biochemistry. Proper biochemistry and nutrition is critical to health in order to rebuild and maintain a strong state of wellbeing.
Katie’s philosophy is simple: the power that made the body can heal the body. The body has an innate intelligence and strives towards health to the best of its ability; removing interference such as emotional, chemical and physical stress will allow the body to express this innate intelligence. Several techniques are used to assess and correct many problems, including chiropractic adjustments, Applied Kinesiology, Total Body Modification, and Functional Neurology (Brain Balance).
The patient and the doctor are a team, and need to work together to make the changes necessary to improve your health. Ultimately it is YOU that governs the future of your body. If you don’t look after your body, where are you going to live?
Katie looks forward to helping you achieve your health goals, and working with you and your families towards a happier healthier life!
